  • Personal data can be handled by the hotel if the person concerned (hereinafter referred to as the User) has given its consent to it, or if it is governed by law or by a decree of the local authority on the basis of the authorization of the law, within the scope specified therein, for a purpose based on public interest (mandatory data handling).
  • Personal data may also be handled if the acquisition of the consent of the User is impossible or would impose disproportionate costs, but the processing of personal data is necessary in order to fulfill the legal obligation of the controller or to enforce the legitimate interests of the data controller or third party, and the enforcement of these is in proportion to the restriction of the right to the protection of personal data.
  • Children under the age of 18 and legally incapacitated Users may not use the services offered by Szallodak.hu directly, only their legal representative may act on their behalf. The Service Provider is not in a position to verify the eligibility of the contributor or to know the contents of the statement of the legal representative; therefore, the User and his/her legal representative guarantee that the contribution is in accordance with the law. The Service Provider deems the consent of the legal representative to be given.
  • If the personal data has been collected with the consent of the User, the controller may manage the data recorded in the absence of a different legal provisions in order to fulfill its legal obligation, or to enforce a legitimate interest of the controller or a third party without further special consent; if the enforcement of this interest is proportionate with the restriction of the right to the protection of the personal data, and this data may also be managed after the consent of the User has been withdrawn.
  • Personal data may be handled only for a specific purpose, for exercising rights and fulfilling obligations.
  • Only such personal data may be managed, which is essential and suitable for the implementation of the objective of data handling. Personal data can only be handled to the extent and for the duration required to achieve the goal.
  • During data handling, the accuracy and completeness of the data should be ensured - and if necessary for the purpose of data management- the data stored should also be up-to-date. Besides, the identification of the User shall be restricted for no longer than it is necessary for the purpose of data processing.
  • The User may request information from the Service Provider regarding his/her personal data handling. Correction, deletion or blocking of personal data can be requested except for data handling required by the law.
  • Before the data processing, the Service Provider shall inform Users whether the data management is based on voluntary consent or it is mandatory. The User shall be informed clearly, comprehensibly and in detail- with reference to the present consent- about all facts relating to the management of his or her data, that is, the purpose, legal basis and duration of the data processing. Furthermore, the person authorized to handle and process the data should also be known by the User. Prior to giving consent, the User is obliged to read all the information regarding the data processing. It is the User's responsibility to give the consent only after the terms and conditions of data management have been accepted.
  • Upon written request, Service Provider shall give out specific information about the data managed or processed by itself or its trustee: about the source, purpose, legal basis and duration of the data processing; name, address and activities related to data management, and – in case of a personal data transmission – information about its legal basis and recipient.
  • The Service Provider shall provide the information in writing and in an easy-to-understand manner within the shortest possible time, but not later than 25 days after submitting the request. The provision of information is free of charge, unless the person requesting the information has already filed a request in the given year concerning the same information. In other cases, expenses may be charged. Reimbursement of costs already paid must be refunded if the data have been illegally treated or the request for information has led to a correction.

Enforcement Options

If you think your data protection rights have been breached, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national Data Protection Authority, that is, with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (address: Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor 22/C, H-1125 Budapest).

If you think your data protection rights have been breached, the Service Provider can be exercised at the court. The court proceeds in the matter out of turn. The judgment of the case falls within the jurisdiction of the Tribunal. The legal action can be taken - based on the User’s choice – either at the User's place of residence or his/her place of stay.
